Its that time of year when all hell breaks lose on the British high street - with flowers and chocolates in short supply due to Mothers Day being upon us again. I’ve put some links to where to get some gifts organised online.
- Next - Supply both Flower and Chocolates
- Thorntons - Get you choccies in quick
- Bunches - does what it says on the tin.
Enjoy Mothers Day.
Recently for my friend Bills birthday, he writes on this whisky blog, I was trying to purchase some whisky online. I looked at the usual places like The Whisky Exchange, Majestic Wine and Oddbins. And to tell you the truth I found the whole thing kinda bewildering.
My plan was to get something a little bit different and whilst browsing I came across The Angels Share. This is a small whisky shop, which seems to have a huge online selection to buy from. So I took a quick drive up and found them to be far more informative than any of the online stores could be.
Maybe the lesson I should take from this is that buying online if you know what you’re looking for is great. Buying in the high street is maybe more appropriate if you need some help.
Check out Bills stuff on Whisky From Islay.
I’m thinking of getting a new digital radio for my house. The analogue thing in the kitchens got a cable more frayed than my mothers temper on Christmas Day.
I’m thinking of getting a Logik log3007di - my brother just got one and it looks quite good but I’ve just read a review about it over at Compare All.
Does anyone know if this problem with losing synchornisation is common place?
My cousin used to do some work @ shelter a few years ago and it would appear that he’s always held them in high regard as he just emailed me to remind me to try and raise some money for Shelter. Shelter are a UK charity that helps the homeless.
So Keith, just for you:
If anyone would like to donate some cash to Shelter donations
My black and white car Leia is in for a bad week or two with going to the vet to get neutered. And it was only when I found out how much these things cost to look after that I started to think about hoe much my little ball of fluff could end up costing me.
Anyway I’ve had a scoot about the web to find deals on pet insurance and TBH they all seem to do pretty much the same thing and cost pretty much the same (probably because the majority seem to be underwritten by AXA).
So I looked at the ‘added value’ components rather than the bottom line - for the first time in ages. And I’ve decided to go with RSCPA pet insurance- I get my cat insured and the RSPCA get 20% of my premiums - seems like the best of a fairly equivalent bunch.
So try it out and see how you get on - if anyone else can reccomend an alternative put it in the comments as my girl friends now talking about getting a pug dog! And from what I’ve seen online the thing is going to cost me a fortune,
In the Homer Simpson style of Valentines Day discounts I was well chuffed to find a 20% off code for Urban Retro.
when you go to pay for a cool item like a t-shirt, plush doll or some other cool thing for your beloved enter VDAY2008 into the promo box and hey presto faster than a ninja monkey on a jet pack you have 20% off. Not bad.
