My wee boy is harassing me over what we’re going to be doing over the next couple of weeks - as he’s off school. And as usual this means I’m going to have to dig deep and pay for god alone knows what.
When I was in the pub over the weekend one of my mates was telling me about some of the things he’d done in the past. And for some reason he started to inform me of the delights of Haven Holidays! I thought they were a jumped up Butlins who played bad music by dodgy on their ads!
Anyway I’m thinking of going to Perran Sands over at Haven Holidays. Has anyone been there as the reviews I’ve read are definitely mixed. Please let me know in the comments below.
Over at Sky Satellite TV any customer, and this includes existing as well as new customers for a chnage, that joins Sky Talk before 30th May will get free entry into as Sky’s prize draw. You can win a VIP trip to Hollywood, there are some other bits and pieces up for grabs but it was the holiday that got my attention. I personally use Virgin - as having to change everything back to BT for my phone etc and the disruption to my Internet connection would essentially annoy me to high heaven.
The SKY Talk prize includes:
- Return flights from London to Los Angeles (I live in Scotland would be better if they’d made it from any UK airport as would have maybe attracted me to the offer a bit more)
- Return airport/hotel limo transfers
- 7-nights accommodation at the 4 star Hyatt Long Beach - Traditionally known as the ‘Riot House’ where all the Rock Starts hung out in the 60’s I think (I could just be believing Hollywood a little too much here of course)
- Hollywood Movie Stars Homes Tour
- Universal Studios 2-day pass
- Private helicopter flight over Hollywood
- Tickets to an LA Galaxy match
- 3-day soccer camp at the David Beckham Academy for 2 children (aged 6-11 years) -i may be Scottish but meeting big Dave would be cool
- Tickets to a movie premiere
- Chauffeur driven limo for 1 day
- Car hire for the duration of your trip
Trip for 2 to Barcelona. This luxury 3-day trip is a chance to meet one of the greatest football teams in the world on a visit to this beautiful city. The prize includes:
- Return flights from London
- Transfers to and from Barcelona airport
- 3-nights accommodation (2 nights in Barcelona and 1 night in the city where the match is being played) plus breakfast
- A flight on FC Barcelona’s private jet – to and from the match
- Transfers to and from the match
- Tickets to the game
Hope you bag yourself this prize over at SKY.

I’ve already bought a poketo wallet, this one. They’re a bit mental, as far as wallets go, but hey what else can you waste money on when you get to 30!
Woo Hoo. I just found out that there is up to 70% off available in the HMV.com sale.As with all sales most of the stuff will be to fill in gaps in my record collection or to huy some movie that I meant to go to the cinema to see and never went but as the DVD now costs less than the ticket to my local pantheon of movie lovers I’ll watch it at home with a beer.
In essence you can get:
There are some CDS available in the HMV sale but none of them I can’t get elsewhere or dont own already.
Hope everyone enjoys the HMV sale.
After much searching the web and thinking about going to purchase the Log3007DI I decided to instead go and buy the Log3006DBE. I was swung by the way it looks more than anything. It has the usual things your would expect of a digital radio, I still dont know what DAB stands for! The Log3006DBE was generally getting better reviews online too and the issue with losing the time assosciated with the 3007DI was nowhere to be found.
Anyway I can use the Log2006DBE for MP3s too - which meant that I had to buy a new MP3 player! I had an old Sony thing - the software keeps crashing my PC. So I’m now sitting anxiously waiting on my new Ipod Touch too.
I managed to save £15.00 by using the discount code AWOFF15 over at Currys. Am well made up and looking forward to getting my Digital Radio and Ipod touch tomorrow.
