I love horror films - and its been an age since I saw a really good one. I’d been chatting to my mate who does the Watchmen Film Blog and he recomended that I get down to the video shop and get 30 Days of Night out. I’d tried to avoid this purely on the basis that it featured some actress from Neighbours (who I last saw in Silent Hill) and Josh Harnett. I was expecting it to be pants.
Thank god it wasn’t. It was one of the best little horror movies I’ve seen in a long time. the storyline is that a wee town in Alaska is so far north that once a year for thrity days there is no sun (hence 30 Days of Night). Some enterprising vampires work out this sounds like a Vampiric McDonalds on offer. So away they romp slitting throats, decapitating people, snapping limbs, draining blood and basically killing everyone in front of them.
A small band of residents try and outlast the vampiric assault - led by the Josh Harnet character Evan.
I would suggest if you love horror movies to go and get this one.

Well yet again dominos have a disount voucher promotion going on through their website. I’ve just ordered dinner and it worked fine.

I think this expires at the end of April 2007 - so to save you’ll have to get ordering.

I’m the proud owner of an X-Box and have been ducking and diving between different websites to find out what the best deals on Grand Theft Auto IV are from online retailers in the UK. Below are prices and links for each retailer I checked for Grand Theft Auto IV and the XBox prices for the normal and the special editions.

Grand Theft Auto IV - Normal Edition
- Game.co.uk- £39.99
- HMV.co.uk - £39.99
Everywhere is doing it for about £40 - some places are charging upwards of £49 and asking for the full RRP from GTA IV of £49.99. I’d go for the HMV offer as you get some free stuff when you buy it. £130 worth of vounchers
Grand Theft Auto IV - Special Edition
- Game.co.uk - £69.99
- HMV.co.uk - £59.99
It would appear that shopping at HMV for Grand Theft Auto IV Special Edition will save you some cash. And as always a tenner in my pocket is better than in theirs.
Already rubbing hands at having saved £10 and preordering my copy of Grand Theft Auto Four.
